Father's Day buffet treat at Oscar's (Conrad Centennial Singapore)

[Media Invite]

Oscar's - an international buffet restaurant at Conrad Centennial Singapore offers a wide spread of local and international dishes in a la carte or buffet style.  Reputed to be one of the best buffet in Singapore, Oscar's opens around the clock serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper!

In celebration of Father's Day, our family is deeply thankful to be invited to Oscar's for a sumptuous Father's Day dinner.

We were warmly welcomed and spent the rest of the evening dining and immersing ourselves within the lovely ambience accompanied with the hospitality of the staff.

Here's a toast to Hubby! - Happy Father's Day!

Oscar's offers lunch and dinner buffets with an exciting array of cuisines to savor. Exquisite appetizers, salad, soup, sashimi, main course comprising of local and international delights, fresh seafood, signature dessert and more! We are spoilt with choices. Let's take a closer look at our favourite.

'Temasek Cooler' - Conrad's signature drink for the past 18 years, a special concoction of ice peach tea and Hawaiian sugar cane stick, garnished with mint leaves and a slice of peach  is a must try. You will feel refreshed after taking a sip.
.

Being frequent buffet-goers, Denver and I made a beeline to the sushi/sashimi section while Hubby headed straight for the seafood! Fresh, thick slices of salmon, tuna and swordfish spread across the serving slab. As much as I adore salmon sashimi, I decided to control my intake and leave some tummy space for the other food selection to come.

The main attraction for us was the freshly shucked oysters and a line of succulent seafood on ice. Crayfish, prawns, mussels, crab legs tasted extremely fresh without the need of additional seasoning. The oyster selection coming from different countries (U.S.A, Ireland, France, New Zealand) looked extremely tempting and mouth-watering that we decided to try all of them. In fact, it was so fresh and juicy that we sinfully went for a second helping, shelving our mindful thoughts to keep watch of our cholesterol for the time being.

Bread and pizza anyone? Fresh loaves available to go with your coffee or tea.

The spread of cooked food in the main course section looks exciting. You can find prawns, beef stew, squid, fish, black pepper crabs and even rib eye! One of our favourite is Fried rice. A simple dish which left us an impression. Every single grain tastes delicious and soothing to our palate.

As we passed by the soup station, the aroma from the pot of Double-boil chicken soup is enticing. We love herbal soup as it is a nutritious and healthy meal option. The clear broth is refreshing and sweet.

While we were engrossed and spoilt for choices, a staff directed us to the alfresco noodle bar outside Oscar's. Here, the chef will prepare delicious bowls of local noodle delights upon requests - Laksa, Wanton Mee, Fish Noodle Soup, Seafood Tom Yam, Prawn Noodle and Bak Kut Teh!

Do not miss out their Laksa which I thought the gravy was thick and yet not overly spicy. Ingredients are fresh and this bowl of noodle turns out to be pretty tantalising.

As a special treat, we had a taste of Conrad's Chilli Crab  accompanied with some deep fried buns (Mantou). The gravy has a combination of spiciness, sweetness and saltiness. Hubby and I find the gravy a little too salty but the juicy crab meat make up for it.

It's time for dessert and the children were extremely happy to see a wide selection to pick from. Check out the freshly made waffles and pick your preferred ice-cream flavour to go with it.

The cake section is my favourite in the dessert section. Oscar's signature cake - Chocolate Royal Hazelnut Crunch is a MUST TRY! Creamy and sweet on top with crunchy hazelnut layers and base within. Every mouthful is filled with alluring chocolatey and hazelnut flavour that is so captivating and addictive. This is one of the best chocolate cake I have ever tasted! The children and I love it so much that we finished half of the whole cake despite feeling pretty full.

More desserts and nyonya kueh. Chendol in a glass, Popiah on a spoon, and smoothies in a shot glass.

Refreshing fruits to end our buffet treat.

Dining at Oscar's has been extremely pleasant and delightful. Apart from the sumptuous spread, we received warm hospitality from every staff. Our family would like to thank Conrad Centennial Singapore once again for hosting us.
