HDB HIP Day 6 to Day 10 – The Final Stretch (Full Video)

The final five days of our HDB Home Improvement Programme (HIP)!!

Day 6 to Day 10, the major hacking and toilet works were largely completed, and the focus shifted towards finishing touches, rectification, installation and clearing the work areas. It was definitely tiring living through the renovation dust and noise, but knowing that we were getting closer to the end made it easier to manage.

One thing that made a huge difference for us was our dustproofing package, which included post-HIP cleaning. 

The post-HIP cleaning was honestly so helpful. Instead of having to spend days trying to clean up all the accumulated construction dust ourselves, the professional cleaners came in and tackled the mess after the works were completed. It made such a difference to the overall experience and meant we could focus on getting our home back in order rather than spending our first few days just cleaning.

Looking back, the final days were a combination of waiting, checking, cleaning and finally getting our home back. HIP is definitely an experience, but with proper preparation, dustproofing and a good post-HIP cleaning plan, the process can feel much more manageable.

For anyone preparing for HIP, our biggest takeaway is: don't underestimate the dust! Good dustproofing helps during the works, while a proper post-HIP clean can make a big difference when everything is finally completed.

Dustproofing during the works + professional cleaning afterwards = one less thing to worry about during an already hectic 10 days.
