There also so many considerations when it comes to staying in Taipei.
Budget? Location? Accessibility? Places of interests nearby? Night Markets?
After much research online and reviewing the various websites, we have picked our favourite - MEANDER 1948
WHY?
Strategic location
1) Close to Taipei City Undergound Mall (Y13 exit) - only 3 mins walk away. Most importantly there is escalator and lift! No need to climb stairs if you have luggage.
2) Just minutes walk to Airport Mrt and we can easily take the train to/from Taoyuan Airport.
3) Walkable to Da Dao Cheng #大稻埕 , Dihua Old Street #迪化街, #ningxianightmarket #宁夏夜市 shopping malls and best spot for #anime fans because Y13 is at the heart of Taipei City Mall where all the anime merchandise is located!
4) If you are game to walk further, you can also walk to Ximending #西门町 , and the famous Fuhang Soy Milk too!
Price
Price for hotel stay is pretty competitive in Taipei but I think it's pretty reasonable as Meander 1948 which is a hostel that provided all that we needed
Rooms
Meander 1948 is a hostel that provides dormitories with shared bathrooms, but it also has some Ensuite rooms which comes with private bathrooms for families. Washing machine & dryer is available, common area with open kitchen for guests to connect and rest. Breakfast coupons are provided for guests to try the different local food nearby. Their rooms are smaller but clean and neat.
Lots of good eateries around and 7-11 is just next to Meander.
Definitely our top choice when it comes to staying in Taipei, Taiwan
