EHHE Art Cafe (中間旁邊) at Tan Hiok Nee Cultural Street

Tan Hiok Nee never fails to intrigue us on our every single visit. This is our favourite spot for breakfast as we love the food served in the old shops accompanied by the various artworks featured around the cultural street.

Last December, we spotted a new cafe - Ehhe Art Cafe (中間旁邊) which is located next to the famous Hiap Joo Bakery and opposite our favourite coffeeshop - Kin Wah Restoran, Not too sure how to pronounce it's name but it does sounds like "Eh Hei". Was browsing through their facebook page and realised EH HE meant EartH HEart. Which means "art" is missing in the right place. This probably explains why it is called 中間旁邊, as ART is at the centre and side of EartH HEart! How brillant!

The cafe is uniquely decorated with a lot of wood furnishing. Tables and chairs comes in various design, sizes and height. You can also choose to dine in the air-condition or non air-condition area.

I love the artworks on the walls and I find every corner of the cafe a beauty to admire.

Is this a horse, pony or donkey? One thing for sure, we were shy and felt awkward to sit at the tail end.

EHHE offers a variety of Western and Asian dishes plus local traditional breakfast on their menu.

There is also a chiller box filled with their Golden Immune Boosters (Pineapple, Carrot and Ginger).

We had our first round of egg and toast at Kin Wah hence we decided to hop over and try EHHE's Curry Chicken with toast (RM10.9).

It's a shame that the curry seems a little too oily and it lacks the fragrance and coconut flavour that we prefer. Otherwise, it would be a perfect dip with the toast. Price is fairly reasonable and we would love to be back again to try out their other dishes on the menu on our next visit.

Cafe looks chic, and price is very reasonable.
Whenever queuing for banana cake, I did notice a small crowd keep streaming in and out.

cheers, Andy

Opps.. Should have indicate that this is in JB at first. :) Their name is very sophisticated. I tried googling for more information and this is pretty much what I gathered. :)
