Taman Johor Jaya Pasar Malam

Located near the Family Food Court, the night market in Taman Johor Jaya opens every Tuesday evenings from 5pm onwards.

We arrived half an hour earlier than usual hoping to secure a parking lot in the vicinity. The sun was scorching hot and most of the mobile vendors were in the midst of setting up. Just then, we spotted a long queue and decided to join in the line without even finding out what was the cause of the attraction.

As a Chinese saying goes "早起的鸟儿有虫吃", we found out later that it was selling assorted kueh. Although we have seen similar stalls at the other night markets, the queue here was exceptionally long! Hence, we believe the kueh here should be tasty to earn so many supporters. We bought some Ang Ku Kueh and Kueh Dadar to try and they were value for money and delicious.

Moving on, the children spotted their favourite Mochi uncle. To date, we have seen them roving around a few pasar malams. This couple sells yummy-licious Mochi which is soft, tangy and topped with lots of peanuts. Denver & Gladys love to grab a box and chew along the way.

Lately, my kids and I developed a craving for fried mushrooms. This is also one of our must - buy food item on the list.

Feeling thirsty? Try some Buah Long Long juice with Plum to perk your taste bud.

As we venture more pasar malams, we started to look out and found familiar faces.

Hubby was a little disappointed when we did not spot any stall selling delicious roasted meat. Nevertheless, the roads here are wider and we don't feel as stuffy and crowded as we walked along the streets.
