October Japanese Cuisine (十月日本料理) @ JP Perdana [JB]

It was an impromptu visit to October Japanese Cuisine as we drove along JP Perdana. Have past by this area multiple times and there are a few restaurants that is worth stopping by. Flame's Kitchen, Cheotnun Korean dessert cafe are also located along the same stretch as well. Parking is available in the open area behind the restaurant.

As we walked towards the restaurant, check out the mini stretch of bamboo and cherry blossom lane  for customers to take pictures.

Despite located in the quieter residential area, I was surprised that it was rather crowded. We were told that booking has to be made to avoid disappointment as the restaurant is often packed especially during dining hours. We were lucky to secure a seat and quickly placed our orders.

The interior of October Japanese cuisine is elegantly decorated surrounded with full height glass windows to allow natural lighting into the restaurant.

We did not plan to have a full meal as we wanted to drop by for dessert at Cheotnun Korean Dessert Cafe which is just next to October. Hence, we picked to share a ramen bowl and sushi plate.

Took about 15 - 20 minutes before our food are served. Ramen is chewy and the soup is tasty and not overly salty.

Flaming Salmon Aburi Maki (~RM29) - The sushi rolls were set on 'fire' from the bottom adding a smoky flavour to the sushi.

In general, the food taste fresh and good. Price wise is slightly on a higher end and we waited a longer time for our food to arrive. However, service is good and the waiter seek our understanding for the longer waiting time due to the shortage of staff that evening. We may be back again to try out their other dishes as it is only about 5 minutes drive away from Taman Mount Austin
