[SG] Chatuchak Thai Tea @ Icon Village

[Media Invite]

Examinations are over and its time to celebrate and have some family time together. Last weekend, we drove down to Icon Village (Tangjong Pagar) to try out some Thai beverages and desserts from Chatuchak.

A little background of Chutuchak - their founder, Angie learnt the art of brewing Thai tea from a local Thailand tea master and using a trusted recipe to offer customers the most authentic Thai beverages. The tea leaves and ingredients used in Chatuchak's tea-infused menu is directly imported from Thailand as well.

A humble and cozy shop with a few seating for customers to stop by and have a drink.

A nice variety of milk tea and coffee available on the menu which also comes in cold or hot options.

I thought egglet is only a specialty in Hong Kong but you can find a variety of egglet flavours at Chatuchak too! Plus, you can pair it with a delicious scoop of ice-cream of your choice.

That's not all, Chatuchak also offers Yogurt drinks and if you like ice-cream, you may want to try their signature - Thai Milk Tea ice-cream.

We ordered 4 different flavours starting from the left: Thai Green Milk Tea, Thai Milo, Thai Milk Tea and Thai Dark Cocoa

The drinks are not too sweet (which is definitely a plus for us since we do not like drinks that are overly sugary). Thai Dark Cocoa has a bit of bitterness within but it wasn't overwhelming and it is the least sweet among all - just nice for Hubby. I personally preferred the Thai Milk Tea and Thai Green Tea. The richness and bold, creamy flavours didn't disappoint. Thai Milo is a nice pick for Gladys - a mix of Thai and local taste.

We tried some egglets to go with the drinks. Love the idea of chicken floss within the egglet as it adds a bit of saltiness to the sweetness. However, I would love it more if the egglet has more eggy flavour and if its crispier. Nevertheless, egglet taste good and it was served warm. :)

Chicken Floss Egglet

Top your egglet with ice-cream and its a welcoming dessert for the children. Looks really pretty and definitely instagram-worthy.

Chatuchak is located in Icon Village (Tanjong Pagar MRT, Exit A). Hop by if you are around the area and craving for Thai beverages or desserts.
