Review : Capturing Life Moments with Canon HD PhotoJournal

[Review]

I love taking pictures and has been storing them in the hard disk for many years. It was only recently that I felt the need to print them out for safe keeping and remembrance as photographs stored in the CDs or hard disk can be destroyed or lost. These are precious memories that we do not want to lose!

Late last year, we had the opportunity to create our own photo book with Canon's HD FotoJournal and I enjoyed the process which is so simple, easy, enjoyable and convenient.

Since our family loves to travel, I created 2 sets of photobooks documenting our trips to Johor Bahru and Taiwan on Canon Shop Online.

Johor Bahru 2016 Trip Photobook (Landscape 8" x 12") - 20 pages

Taiwan 2016 Trip Photobook (Square 10" x 10") - 20 pages

To start off, simply select a FotoJournal of your preference. There are also other sizes available to choose from and you can pick hardcover or softcover.

Next, you can choose to start from a default book template or simply create your own style or design. There are sample page backgrounds, layouts, picture borders and clipart as well. You can fit many photographs into a page, simple insert photograph, drag and drop onto the page.

It's very easy to use and I really enjoy the process of placing the photos on the album and shifting it around until I am satisfied with the final look. You can edit and save the changes multiple times and there is ample time to look back at the album again before sending it for publishing.

Once you have completed your photobook, simply submit your order. On the payment page, you can choose to collect the album at the FotoHub outlet most convenient for your collection. An email will be sent to you informing you that your order is in process and it takes about 2 to 5 working days to complete. Another email will then be sent to you again notifying you to collect your album at the selected outlet. It is so easy!

The fun and joy comes as we receive our photo books. Even though the photographs were all taken by my mobile phone (Samsung Note 5), the quality of the photographs printed on Canon luster paper turns out very well. The colours are vibrant and it looked professional!

Even though you can put many photographs on a single page, I chose not to lose focus as these are my personal favourites and it tells a story and memory at that moment in time.

Adding captions to the pages also gave more meaning to our photo books. Hopefully, when our children are older, they will remember their childhood and share it with their children.

The photo books are compact (unlike the bulky photo albums that I used to make) where we can take out and re-look at our travel journey for many years to come. These are indeed life moments that we do not want to miss. If you have many photographs, its time to consider printing them out. :)

Its a joy to do the photo album. Time is definitely needed so that your album turns out to what you like it to be! Hope to see yours!
