Dining at Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove - Gin Khao + Giveaway!

Continuing our food tasting journey at Quayside Isle, we are in for some Thai cuisine! Set away from the hustle and bustle city life, Gin Khao's second outlet is along the waterfront with panoramic views of the villas, docked by yachts that aims to provide diners with a combination of good food, ambience and mood.

Diners can choose to sit indoors or outdoors. Both are equally charming and relaxing.

We started our meal with the salads. I must say for someone who can't take spices well, the salad set me up on fire. I think we forgotten to give it a good stir before digging in. It tasted less spicy after we mixed the salad well. Hubby and I preferred the papaya salad as it has a richer flavour and felt more appetizing. But both are great salads with chewy mango/papaya slices tossed in sweet, spicy savory sauce that you should not miss.

Yum Mauang (Mango Salad)

Som Tam (Gin Khao signature green papaya salad)

Alternatively, try the prawn and green mango relish which consist of diced green mango, prawn and Gin Khao's in-house sauce. Served with Thai rice crackers, it is a refreshing dish to go for before the mains.

Prawn and Green Mango Relish

Our meal is not complete without Tom Yum soup! The spicy and sourly taste from the broth is so shiok that I don't mind gulping more water just to have a few more sips.

That's quite a bit of spice to start with. Our girl's eyes finally glowed when she saw the chicken wings! They are so delicious that she asked for another one. This is definitely one of the favourite pick among children!

Moo Yang - Thai-style grilled pork belly is tender and well-marinated. The thin slices of pork goes perfectly well with rice.

For those who knows me well would know that I prefer rice over noodles. When the Watermelon Fried Rice was served, I was delighted. Not only was it visually appealing, it has a lot of stuffing within which makes it appetizing as well.

I didn't know that a simple fried rice dish can be so rich in flavour. The sweetness from the watermelon compliments the rice, giving it a more robust taste. Every bite is so heavenly. A Must Try in my opinion.

Khao Phat Dtaeng Moe

Our girl loves squid and I am a big fan of salted egg. With the combination of both together, stir-fried squid coated in salted egg cream, this dish really brings a smile on my face.

Stir-fried squid with runny salted egg

Juicy crayfish simmered in Thai garlic and pepper sauce in claypot over high heat. Ingredients are fresh and I love the glass noodles within the pot.

Kang Ob Woon Sen

Time for dessert!

Gelato in coconut husk - topped with roasted peanut, attap seed and corn is a sweet combination. Our kiddos love it and finished every single scoop of it.

Mango with Black Sticky Rice

Hubby and I decided to go for something different - Green Curry Gelato with Sticky Rice. Can you imagine how Green Curry Gelato taste like? It spiced up your tongue a little and has a very unique flavour. If you are adventurous, you may want to give it a go.

Alternatively, there are also other flavours of Gelato you can choose from.

*Choice of flavour for Gelato : Coconut, Mango, Palm Sugar, Tom Yum, Vanilla, Chocolate, Lychee Sorbet, Sticky Rice

Served with your choice of gelato, the molten lava cake is nicely baked with a warm lava centre oozing out jaggery sauce.

It has been a wonderful experience dining at Quayside Isle as we joined other family bloggers for a get-together. There are many dining options along the waterfront, accompanied by the breath-taking view of the marina. A nice place to explore if you wish to have a chill out session with your friends or a relaxing, sit down meal with your family.
