~ Our cycling ride from Sengkang to Giant Tampines ~

It has been ages since I last cycled on the roads, let alone cycling from our home all the way to Tampines! *Faint! Hubby and I put on our new helmets that we bought recently and off we go on a super duper hot morning!

We cycled on our usual route, along the Serangoon Park Connector linking to Punggol Promenade Riverside Walk and crossing the Lor Halus Wetland. The weather was scorching hot and I kinda regretted not putting on the sun block!

 Along Pasir Ris Farmway 3.

I can't really stop to take photos as we were constantly cycling on the roads. But as you cycled along the farmway, you will spot a couple of pet hotel and fish farms.

Here's our cycle route.

Serangoon Park Connector (from Sengkang East Drive) => Riverside Walk => Lor Halus Wetland => Pasir Ris Farmway 3 => Pasir Ris Farmway 2 => Pasir Ris Ind Dr => Pasir Ris Drive 12 => Tampines Ave 10 => Giant Tampines

The total distance is about 6km and it was not as far as I thought it would be. The only issue was the heat that really burns me out (especially my hands). I was delighted to see the destination within my sight. Hubby & I enjoyed a cooling break in the supermart and had our lunch together at the food court.

Then, it was another 6km ride back home, which we took about 40 mins to reach. I can feel my legs feeling wobbly already. Nevertheless, it has been a great work out and time well spent. ^_^

Hi! Apologies for the late response. There is no safe cycling lane with the route that we took. I hope you had a good ride to IKEA :)
