~ 20th World Orchid Conference 2011 (世界兰花大会) - Part 1 ~

Do you know that the World Orchid Conference takes place once every three years? Singapore is proud and priviledge to be the host for the 20th WOC show 2011 (第20届世界兰花大会)! The last time Singapore hosted the 4th WOC event was back in 1963! So this is definitely a show not to be missed!

Not only do we get a chance to see the stunning displays, comprising of thousands of orchids at the World Orchid Show, the tickets also entitled us to visit the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay for an exclusive preview before its official opening in June 2012.

World Orchid Show
Dates:13 – 20 November 2011
Opening hours:10:00am – 9:00pm
Venue:Halls D, E & F, Level B2
Sands Expo and Convention Centre
10 Bayfront Avenue
Singapore 018956

Upon arrival, you'll see orchids EVERYWHERE! The scent of flowers surrounded us.

Denver & Gladys tagged along with us and they had the entire space to roam and run. It seems more like a flower playground to them than admiring the pretty orchids. ^_^

Various snap shots of the kiddos with the orchid displays. COOL!

Thanks to Hubby, I get to spend some time taking photos on my own. Its really difficult to have 2 children running around the exhibition hall and having them waiting for me patiently. ^_^

Alluring landscape and settings from various countries.

We spent about 3 hours at the World Orchid Show only and took over 400 photos! Here's some of the pictures that I really like.

More photos to be uploaded in Part 2!

Hi Leone,

Yes! We had a great time! It was challenging with the kiddos around and photography time is very limited. But we made it! ^_^
