Flowers in the Window @ Jalan Dhoby [JB]

Flowers in the Window is a rare jem in the hearts of Johor Bahru. Not only does it serves awesome delicious food, it is also a very instagrammable garden themed cafe. Upon stepping in, you feel like being brought into a secret garden. There are plants and floral everywhere! On the table/counter tops, on the walls, and even hanging from the ceiling.

Located along the streets of Jalan Dhoby (walking distance from Tan Hiok Nee), this is definitely one of my favourite cafe.

Many came to take pictures and I love the little touches and plenty of greenery surrounding the cafe.

Flower in the Window is a 2-storey cafe. There are only a few seating on the ground floor but you can find more on level 2 via the staircase at the back.

Level 2 spans across a wider area furnished with wooden furniture. The entire space is very cosy and has a vintage touch where you can simply lay back and relax.

What I really like about Flower in the Window is the food listed on their menu. Specially crafted and uniquely different from the other cafes, every dish has its own flavour that is makes it special from the usual plate.

Menu is also folded like a napkin.

Their drinks are extremely refreshing too!

We have visited Flowers in the Window on 2 occasions and this is our MUST order - my son's favourite dish - Pan Fried Salmon with a Cous Cous Superfood Salad (RM26). Delicious slice of salmon on an awesome plate of greens. No wonder my boy keep persuading us to go back for another meal whenever we are around the area.

Soda Battered Fish & Chips, hake fillet, potatoes, veggie chips with roasted red pepper and tomato sauce (RM29) - beautiful plate!

Hainanese Beef Rice Noodle with Salted Vegetables and Peanuts (RM14) - Portion is good with tender beef chunks. We probably not too used to the sauce and flavour but it was overall good.

Smoked Salmon & poached eggs with pesto and rockets (RM20) - Perfect for those who love salmon and pasta.

Chicken Schnitzel coated in quinoa with lemon zest, basil and homemade wedges and cucumber  coleslaw (RM24) - Great order for children who likes crispy chicken and potato wedges.

Whole Chicken Leg with Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Vegetables and Orgeano Gravy (RM24) - Juicy and tender chicken meat served along with roasted vegetables to complete a hearty meal

I love how Flower in the Window plate their dish which is so colourful and appetizing. They put a lot of emphasis on the greens, salads and seasoning apart from just focusing on the meat. Definitely one of our favourite cafe around Tan Hiok Nee.
