When we arrived earlier this month, we were lucky to be part of the first Halloween Party. The quiet street instantly turns vibrant with lanterns, Halloween decorations and balloons. It was inviting to see the big net of balloons outside the Red House. The kids thought that it looks like the house in "UP", just that it wasn't going to fly away.
Crowd started to flow in to Tan Hiok Nee Street in the evening.
Even a witch needs to descend from her flying broom and do her shopping.
Hanging photo frames along the streets - perfect photo corner for visitors.
While many arrived in their Halloween costumes, you can also be part of the party and get your make up at an affordable price.
The stylish group.
Ghastly-like
It was a refreshing combination of a Western tradition event setting itself on the Chinese Cultural street. While there was no Trick or Treat, it was heart warming to see the local community sending greetings to each other and having a great time taking photos together.
There's always something interesting happening along Tan Hiok Nee Cultural Street every Saturday evening. Remember to pop by if you are near the area on your next visit.
