[SG] Arbora - New Hilltop Dining @ Faber Peak Singapore

12 October 2018 - Perched atop the lush greenery of Mount Faber Park is ARBORA (formally known as Spuds & Apron) - a new unique hilltop garden dining experience sets in the nautral setting of tranquility and photo-perfect skyline backdrop. Behold the majestic views of the rainforest hillside, Harbourfront and Sentosa from its vantage location.



Arbora is inspired by the Latin word 'arbor' which refers to trees or a leafy enclosure formed by shrubs and tree branches. Surrounded by Mount Faber Park which sprawls over 40 hectares of verdant treetops and home to a variety of flora and fauna, the name fits perfectly with its distinguished location

We are delighted to witness the launch of Arbora where guests can look forward to a (re)treat at the new all-day garden dining restaurant.


Wonderful performance by Shili & Adi - the talented duo who have such versatility in different genres of music! They even had a new rendition of Baby Shark!


Our family was particularly excited to be back as everyone has been so tied up with work and studies for the past few months. It is indeed a perfect place to escape from the city to relax and enjoy a breather at the hilltop sanctuary.

New floral garden theme feature wall at the Koi pond. Great place to take pictures with your loved ones. 


Arbora offers a variety of refreshing drinks - fresh-pressed juices, craft beers and botanical-inspired cocktails making in an ideal place to hang out for the health-conscious, as well as craft beer lovers and cocktail connoisseurs.

I find Arbora's Signature Cocktail - Botanic Zest a delight as it is extremely easy, breezy and refreshing.  Featuring juniper berries and fresh young julienned ginger infused with honey mixed in Roku Gin (crafted from 6 unique Japanese botanicals), the cocktail holds all the goodness of a spirits with none of that burn.


Arbora now offers an all-day dining menu with more than 35 selections that includes delectable starters, entrees, and desserts created by Executive Chef Kenny Yeo. Let's check out what are some of the chef's recommendation!

DESSERT

Chempedak Bread & Butter - A sweet dessert that infused local fruit Chempedak into the croissant bread & butter pudding. Even though I do not fancy the scent and taste of Chempedak on its own, I was rather surprised by how the flavour blends in which is not overpowering.


SALADS

Garlic Tiger Prawns - my personal favourite starter! Sauteed sea prawns with salad leaves, olive oil and garlic!


Classic Caesar Salad - an all time favourite filled with delights. Romaine lettuce, bacon steak, quail eggs, croutons top with caesar dressing. An awesome choice to start your meal.


Wild Mushroom - assorted mushrooms with salad leaves


MAINS

Braised Beef Cheek - Tender beef with slow-braised Au Jus, and seasonal vegetables and mashed potato. 

Rack of Lamb - Char-grilled lamb rack top with prune sauce and serve with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes. 


Tomahawk Pork Rib - This is our family's favourite mains! The premium tomahawk meat is so tender-licious, juicy and delectable that we had to go for more servings.



PASTAS

I can safely say if my children were to revisit Arbora, this will definitely be the dish they will order - Smoked Duck Mushroom Ragout! They love it so much that they had a few more plates before they had to put a stop cos of an extremely filled tummy. The aroma from the cream sauce mixed with mushrooms and spinach leaves already enticed our stomachs from afar. Plus topping it with slice of smoke duck and cheese, we could not resist our temptations. Taste of the creamy spaghetti is awesome without a doubt and definitely one of the best pasta we had for a long while.



Dining at Arbora is causal and relaxing, suitable for families and friends to gather and wind down. Arbora's interior decor blends in with the nature allowing the natural surroundings to take centre stage. Whether it is day or night, you get panoramic views of HarbourFront & Sentosa.  It has indoors and alfresco seating and is open for private bookings.

- Hop onto the Singapore Cable Car from HarbourFrong Tower 2 [5-minute walk via HarbourFront MRT Exit B] to Mount Faber Station.
- Drive up Mount Faber Road to Faber Peak Singapore, located just 15-minute from the city.
