It feels good to be BACK in Johor Bahru after 2 years! We have missed driving in and visiting our favourite breakfast place in Tan Hiok Nee - Kin Wah Coffeeshop . We have been their faithful patrons for the past 8 years and it has been a place where our children spent half of their growing up years tasting the local traditional breakfast.
I am glad things looks and feels the same. The facade, the trees and the flow of customers. Lady boss is still as busy as ever and she teased that she has slimmed down.
We went for our usual orders - Kampung eggs, toast and buns, coffee for hubby and tea for me. It still taste as good as before - a taste we missed for a long time.
Covid has hit everyone very hard and for small businesses to survive through the lock-down and restrictions is definitely not an easy journey. It has been a long wait, and we are delighted to be back to re-explore, re-experience what has stayed and what has changed.
