More shopping malls are opening in Johor Bahru with The Mall, Mid-Valley Southkey being the newest and largest to join in the competition. Last month we checked out R&F Mall and were disappointed as about 90% of the retail space is still empty. Thankfully, Mid-Valley Southkey has about than 60-70% of the shop space operating and we actually spent the entire morning exploring the shopping mall even though 3rd and 3rd floor Mezzanine are still under renovation works. Based on the looks of it, it seems we do not need to wait too long before the top floors are open.

I must say Mid-Valley Southkey is one of the better managed malls in Johor Bahru. Despite being the newest mall in town, the area is clean and organised. Ample parking space (~5000 parking bays), classy interior design, and you can basically find all the familiar shop names HERE! Here are some for your reference

Finding a place to dine at Mid-Valley Southkey is not a problem at all as there are so many options! From Cafe, Coffeeshop to Fast Food and Restaurants. You will be spoil for choices!
SDS, Seven Oaks, Sushi King, Texas Chicken, Kenny Rogers, Nando's, Secret Recipe, Din Tai Feng, Awa Mee Bar, Souper Tang, Starbucks, Coffeebean and many more are all under one roof!
Plus we are expecting more shops to be opening soon!! Golden Screen Cinema, Muji, A&W and Harvey Norman are some of the on-coming ones that we will be looking forward to.
Spacious walking space
Though Mid-Valley Southkey Johor Bahru may not be comparable (in terms of size and brand variety ) to Kuala Lumpur Mid-Valley, this is still one of the biggest integrated mall in JB that is close to CIQ that will satisfy all our shopping, dining, entertainment and leisure needs!
HOW TO GET TO THE MALL, MID-VALLEY SOUTHKEY
By Car
We drove in from Singapore following the GPS (1.500802,103.777987) which is about 20 minutes ride from JB CIQ. There are many parking entries and you can refer to the map below for reference.
Alternatively, you can also call a GRAB to take you to The Mall which may cost about RM8-10 from CIQ

By Bus
From JB Sentral, you can take bus MV2 to Mid-Valley Southkey at a promotional price of RM1! First bus starts from 9am! You can also take the return bus to JB Sentral with the last bus at 10:45pm.
