Chinese New Year Goodies by CNYDELIVERY

Chinese New Year is my favourite festive season as it is a time where family and friends gather together and catch up with one another. Apart from spring cleaning and getting new clothing, shopping for delicious CNY goodies and snack is also important to welcome our guests.

Poon Confectionary is one of the oldest makers of homemade tidbits and Chinese New Year Goodies since 1971 with its first bakery in Pahang. But even before that, they have been famous for their Muah Chee and Pineapple Tarts during their days at the hawker stalls in the streets of Malaysia.

With the help of their partners in Singapore, Poon expanded to Singapore in 2018 and launched operations online (CNYDelivery.com). Shopping for CNY Goodies is now made more convenient with just a few clicks away.

We are thankful to sample some of the CNY Goodies from Poon Confectionery and our personal favourite are the Green Pea Cookies, Almond Cookies, Kueh Bangkit and Golden Pillow Pineapple Tarts.

Green Pea Cookies & Almond Cookies are fragrant and crunchy. They are not overly sweet which we preferred. If you do not like Almond cookies, Green Pea cookies is a nice alternative.

Kueh Bangkit is my personal favourite as I like to pop one into my mouth and let it melt naturally within. Golden Pillow Pineapple Tarts has a more buttery flavour, would love it more if there is a stronger pineapple taste.

Salted Egg Lotus Root has a unique flavour which is different from the usual salted egg chips. Something different for a change.

Pork Floss Roll is also another special CNY snack to have but unfortunately it did not win the votes from our kiddos.
