Movie Preview - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Out Of The Shadows)

[Media Invite]

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was one of the cartoons that I followed closely during my childhood. How Master Splinter and four turtles were mutated and lived in New York City's sewers. The turtle, named after four Renaissance Italian artists, were then trained in the art of ninjutsu to protect themselves and later on to fight against Shredder and Krang.

Now, my children watched the newer series of the Ninja Turtles and see how they battle the evil while staying hidden from the society.

Special thanks to Nickelodeon, our family got to catch the movie preview of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Out of the Shadows in 3D! This was also our first experiencing a 3D movie in action. What a great way to start the school holidays!

Even though we did not catch the first movie, we enjoyed the sequel tremendously. Personally, I appreciate the brief introduction of our heros and their skills at the start of the movie, giving us a better understanding of their abilities and characters. Apart from the action, humour was also injected in the movie.

Hiding their faces from the public, Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael moved out of the sewers only when the sun sets. They fight against the evil-doers, while hoping for acceptance from the society. Their brotherhood ties was put to a test when they have trouble agreeing to each other due to the different perceptions.

While the plot is rather predictable, the movie was well paced and suitable for the entire family to enjoy.

Rated PG, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Out of the Shadows is now showing on movie screens in the cinemas and that adds on to the list of movies to catch this June Holidays!
