Nursery Rhymes and Flowery Fun Moments at Gardens by the Bay

June holidays are here and we had a great start with the long Vesak Day weekend! Temperature is rising and we felt the intense heat in the afternoons. Immersing ourselves in the cooled conservatories among the flower field is a perfect hideaway.

It was a walk down through the memory lane as our favourite nursery rhymes unfolds. Mother Goose spread her wings to welcome us as we enter the Flower Dome.

Elephants and mangoes among the field.

Clay Dolly (泥娃娃) - a famous Chinese nursery song. Seems like the clay dollies are having tea together awaiting for guests.

嗡嗡嗡小蜜蜂一天到晚忙做工. The bees are busy collecting pollen at the flower field and Gladys is not afraid to get up close with them.

Keep a lookout of the gigantic insects around the garden.

Gigantic Dragonfly

Gigantic Butterfly

Gigantic Ant from a famous Malay nursery rhyme - Enjit Enjit Semut

We arrived at the old lady's shoe house. Knock Knock.. anyone home?

Baa Baa Black Sheep, have you any wool? Hmmm.. How about asking the white sheep?

Mary and her little white lamb who followed her to school one day.

"The first known compilation of English nursery rhymes is believed to have been published in 1744. It was entitled "Tommy Thumb's SongBook" and contained many rhymes such as London Bridge is falling down and Rock-a-bye baby, that continue to be well-known today."

Old MacDonald and his farm animals

Humpty Dumpty is sitting on the wall with Incy Wincy Spider beside him. Hopefully he is not afraid of spiders and stays safe or all the King's horses and men could not piece him back together again.

I fell in love with the colourful Foxgloves instantly. It is my favourite flower in this floral display theme.

Ending our trail with a family photo in front of the Crooked Man's hut.
