~ JB Makan & Shopping Trip Dec 13 - Day 3 ~

Our final night in Johor Bahru. I like to admire the view of JB from the top. This is the place where you can find good food at affordable price.

The night was still young and we decided to catch a late night movie - 47 Ronin. Ticket price for adult and child was RM14 and RM9 respectively. Gladys was too sleepy and she slept through most of the show. The good thing about catching the show at KSL City is after the movie, there is a lift down to KSL Resort lobby and we can go back straight to our rooms.

24th Dec 2013 - Our final day. Even though JB is not too far from home, the children can't bear to leave.

9am - We had an early check-out and went out for breakfast. Spotted a noodle stall near KSL Resort - Ah Hua Keuh Teow which serves noodles in the morning and claypot rice in the night.

Name: Ah Hua Kueh Teow Restoran (亚华粿條汤)
Location: 21, Jalan Serigala, Taman Century, Johor Bahru
Opening Hours: Morning (7:30am-4:30am), Night (5pm - 12am)
GPS: 1.485622, 103.76102

We ordered both dry and soup version just to have a feel if the sauce will taste differently from the noodles we usually had back home.

The bowl of Kuey Teow Thng (soup) tasted heavenly. The tangy fishballs, chewy kuey teow and fresh serving of mince meat, mushroom and vegetables combined very well with the soup which wasn't too salty and bland.

When the bowl of dry kuey teow noodle was served, I really love the way it was presented. Unfortunately, the kids could not seem to appreciate the taste of the sauce. Initially, I find it a bit too bland for my liking. But, as I chewed on further and slurp it with tablespoon of soup, which was served separately, it was pretty delicious.

10:30am - Each family drove in our cars and for our destination, 3 cars were on the road. Where are we heading to as our final stop?

Name: Johor Premium Outlets (JPO)

Location: Indahpura, 81000 Kulaijaya, Johor Darul Takzim
Opening Hours: 10am - 10pm
GPS: 1.607226,103.622518

Johor Premium Outlets (or JPO) was officially opened in December 2011. Strategically located at the intersection of North-South Expressway and the Second-Link Expressway, it was very accessible for Singaporeans to drive over as an alternative shopping location.

Covering more than 300,000 square feet, JPO houses many popular designer brands such as Adidas, Armani, Coach, Burberry, DKNY, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Timberland and more.

While this is a shopping haven for the ladies, children were wise enough to look at the map for playground facilities. :)

This little playground located on the second floor kept the children occupied while mummies were on a shopping spree.

Our 3 days JB Makan & Leisure trip with 3 families in 3 cars, ended fruitfully and happily. We LOVE to be back for more food and fun! Looking forward to another makan trail in 2014!
