~ Amazing Race @ West Coast Park ~

Through Denver's Chinese tution teacher, we had a fun-fill day at West Coast Park on Children's Day (event orgranised by Punggol Palmview RC).

Tickets price : Adults - $5, Children - $3
Includes free transport, lunch, games and goodie bags for the children

Waiting to get on the bus.

As soon as we reached the park, the children were split into 4 teams. Denver & Gladys are in the Blue team and it's time to play the Amazing Race to see which team will complete all the tasks first.

Leader of each team needs to make sure their team members don't wander off and lost their way. Everyone is helping to look out for balloons to see where are the station master are located in order to complete their task.

Station 1: Ping Pong Ball
Throw 3 ping pong balls into the hole to complete this stage. Looks easy but the children had a hard time aiming and throwing into the target.

Station 2: Puzzle

Complete the puzzle. Everyone gathered to complete the puzzle in the fastest time so that they can run off to the next station. More heads and extra pairs of hands are definitely better than one.

Station 3 : Balloons
Gladys wandered off from the group in search for the next station. Eventually she was found and the Blue team continued with catching the balloon with their shirt.

Station 4 : Flour attack
Each child was tasked to use their mouth to pick up a sweet from the plate of flour. Most of them 'hated' this station as it's messy and they don't like the taste of it. :) The older children helped the younger kiddos to pick the sweets. Flour sticked onto their faces but they really did their best to complete the task in order to win the game.

Denver and Gladys didn't sheer away and have been a good sport blowing the flour away and using their mouth to pick up a sweet. Good job!

4 stations completed: Running our way back to the main station to collect our prizes!

It was a hot and sunny day. We had a good run and made new friends.

Chicken Rice and mineral bottles for everyone to fill our hungry tummies before we continue our free play time at the playground. Yummy!

Haha. This post let me think back about my past. My primary school's Sport Day and Children Day where we all play various types of games together.

Yalo. I also play games like that flour ones before when I was kid. It all remains as memory.

That's true. Nowadays children childhood revolves around Ipad, Iphones, PS3, Xbox... Need to take them away from the screen and more outdoor activities. ^_^

That's pretty true.
