~ Past Holiday Experiences 10 - Hong Kong May 2007 (Day 2 - Part 1) ~

1st June - Day 2 and we are going to Hong Kong DISNEYLAND! So exciting!!! Hong Kong Disneyland is located on Lantau Island and we took the MTR all the way from Kowloon to the Disneyland Resort Station. Upon reaching Sunny Bay Station, passengers will only need to walk across the platform to interchange for the Disney themed train. It is very easy to recognise with the Mickey Mouse shaped windows, brightly coloured interior (blue, yellow, white), Mickey Mouse handles and figurines.

It was a really hot day and even though we were early, there is already a long queue of visitors waiting to buy the entrance tickets.

There are 4 lands in Hong Kong Disneyland, namely Main Street, U.S.A, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. Upon entering, we are at the Main Street, U.S.A where various shops are located and park parades are held. You also get to meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto here. We were lucky to see them coming out and Donald and Daisy said "HI" to Gladys. ^_^ They are so popular and queue is everywhere where visitors are eager to take a picture with them. Too bad Denver is not keen at all and so we didn't take any.

We went straight for Fantasyland since there are more fun kiddy rides for our kids. We were welcomed by the Sleeping Beauty Castle and it looks Gorgeous!

The children hopped onto the Cinderella Carousel and have many rounds and rounds of FUN. :)

Next, it is joining the long queue for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride. One thing about being in Disneyland is planning your route first as there will be long queue eveywhere. You have to be patient and try to enjoy the most out of it.

The ride will take us on a mini adventure where Pooh Bear goes on a hunt in search for his honey. You'll see the jumpy Tigger, cute little piglet and other Pooh's friends.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride is up next as we took on a mini flight up. Denver is having so much fun!

Put on your 3-D glasses, we are going to the Mickey's PhilharMagic! The 3-D show was so entertaining and real that Denver got so scared that he threw off his glasses. :) The sound effects and addition of splashes of water makes everyone laughed and filled with anticipation.

Next on is taking a spin in the Mad Hatter Tea Cups. Round and round and round..... Wheeepeeee... If you are lucky, you may just get to see Alice and take a picture with her. :)

There is also the Fantasy gardens where you can get a chance to meetup with your favourite disney characters and take a photo/autograph with them.

We spent most of our time in Fantasyland completing most of the rides. Next up will be Adventureland and Tomorrowland. :)
